Ever since President Donald Trump fatefully descended the escalator at Trump Tower on June 16, 2015, the world has become a place of seemingly unlimited possibility.
This story I’m about to relay to you is in that vein. You see, just 48 or 72 hours ago, it was universally believed that it was impossible for the NFL’s legendary Ironman Brett Favre to get any cooler.
That belief was wrong. Favre can get even cooler, and more badass in whatever timeline or multiverse we’ve ended up in.
The 3-time MVP, who became the first NFL quarterback to throw 500 touchdown passes, is standing with Tucker Carlson and he wants you to know about it.
I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak. pic.twitter.com/dvrNlLdvgW

One More For The Old Gunslinger
Unfortunately, Favre turned off the replies on his tweet, so I can only partially see how angry he made the liberals.
It’s hard to tell if they’re more or less angry than when Favre joined President Trump for a round of golf in 2020:

But back to Favre’s Tucker comments. He was opining on a segment of Megyn Kelly’s podcast, in which she razes Fox News for firing Tucker.
Speaking about Tucker’s assumed noncompete contract with Fox, which runs through the end of 2024 – essentially “taking him out of the game” if he’s not able to work anywhere else during the Presidential election – Kelly warned her listeners:
“They don’t have a deal. Why not? Because he [Tucker] needs to be silenced? While Fox tries to rebuild that disappearing audience? They are banking on you coming back to them. They’ve got a debate in August. You can’t resist! You’ll go. You’ll forgive everything! They’re banking on it.”
For many on the right, I have no doubt whatsoever that Kelly is correct. I personally haven’t viewed news on an actual television set since 2007, but you can bet I know Boomers who would sooner stuff themselves in a trash compactor before missing “The Five.”
Favre, whose record of 321 straight starts over 20 NFL seasons is by far the most insane record in all of sports, agrees with Kelly – turn it off!
Bill O’Reilly, Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson………who’s next, @FoxNews? You’d better leave @cvpayne and @SundayFutures alone !! pic.twitter.com/F0bpB9ruO6

Based Brett Favre
After he disarmed the weapon of mass destruction that is his right arm, Favre became more open about his conservative political views.
In 2014, he cut an ad for then-Mississippi Republican Senator Thad Cochran. He followed that up in 2018 with an ad for Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.
But what really got him on the radar were his two biggest and best moves.
After golfing with President Trump earlier in the year, Favre dropped this majorly kickass endorsement of Donald Trump:
My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd Amnd, hard working tax paying citizens, police & military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for @RealDonaldTrump. #Vote

But even that wasn’t Favre’s most gutsy move. No, that came about a year after endorsing Trump, when he torched National Anthem-kneeler Colin Kaepernick like so many of the NFL defenses from 1992-2010:
Speaking of torching defenses, I suppose the only possible way to wrap up a story about the awesomeness of World Champion Brett Favre is to leave you with the single greatest performance in modern sports history.
First half the day after his father Irv passed away:
311 yards
4 touchdowns
Perfect 158.3 Quarterback Rating

Here’s to hoping the ol’ Gunslinger will continue to bring us more epic moments off the field. But not too many flapjacks, Brett. We gotta stay hungry for the Crimson Tide.
