Bud Light has lost hundreds of millions of dollars in sales in the months since the brand went woke by teaming up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a partnership back in April. Now, Mulvaney is speaking out to reveal what dating is like as a transgender person months after this scandal.

Mulvaney Talks Dating Life
“It’s actually going really well,” Mulvaney, 26, told E! News when asked about dating. “I feel gorgeous, and I think that it’s been a good year for that for me.”
“When somebody is themselves, that’s like the hottest version of themselves,” the influencer continued. “And so, I think because I feel so locked into my identity, other people are seeing that and find that attractive. So, I’m loving it.”
It’s been nearly two years since Mulvaney came out to the world as transgender during the launch of a “Days of Girlhood” TikTok series. Despite the Bud Light scandal, Mulvaney appears to want to project the image that life is good.
“I’m really happy with my body and my timeline, and I think what’s been really fun is now just getting to make content that doesn’t necessarily have to be so based in my transition and more just about me celebrating life,” Mulvaney added. “But I definitely think there’s more road steps to come, and I will be as open as I feel called to.”
Mulvaney also briefly addressed the hate that has come in since the Bud Light controversy.
“For every horrible comment…there’s a bunch of lovely ones,” Mulvaney said. “And that’s why I think right now when we see all this hate and vitriol towards the trans community, we just need to fill it with extra love. And so, if you’re scrolling through your timeline, and you see a trans person make something very personal, leave them a little love comment.”

Bud Light Sales Plummet
This comes after Daily Mail reported that Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch has announced that revenue in the U.S. fell by 13.5 percent between July and September in the wake of the Mulvaney partnership. On top of that, sales to U.S. retailers were also down 17 percent during that time period, with Anheuser-Busch admitting that this was largely due to a drop in demand for Bud Light.
As for Bud Light specifically, its sales were down 29 percent in the four weeks that ended on October 21 compared to the same period one year ago. For the year to date, Bud Light sales are down nearly 19 percent from where they were last year. This comes after conservatives launched a highly affective boycott of Bud Light in the wake of the brand teaming up with Mulvaney for the April partnership.
Anheuser-Busch's third quarter figures show a 14 percent decline in U.S. revenue, along with a 17 percent fall in sales to American retailers, similar to the figures it recorded for the second quarter between April and June. Mulvaney Turns On Bud Light
Mulvaney turned on Bud Light in June in a blistering video slamming the company for not doing more to help in the wake of the controversy.
“I was waiting for the brand to reach out to me, but they never did. I’ve been scared to leave my house,” Mulvaney said. “For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all.”
“Because it gives customers permission to be as transphobic and as hateful as they want. There’s should be nothing controversial or divisive about working with us,” the transgender influencer continued. “I have been ridiculed in public I’ve been followed and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

Bud Light made the mistake of all mistakes when it teamed up with Mulvaney for this partnership. Mulvaney may claim that dating as a transgender person is amazing, but it’s hard to imagine anyone who would be willing to date this loose cannon of a social media influencer.
