Over the past week, liberals have been trying to cancel the country music star Jason Aldean over his anti-woke anthem “Try That In A Small Town” and its music video, which dared to depict the violence of the Black Lives Matter riots that spread across the country in 2020.
Sadly, Aldean appears to have now caved to the cancel culture mob, as the “Try That In A Small Town” music video has been re-edited to take out some of the controversial Black Lives Matter imagery.
Check out the music video from before the re-edits below.

‘Try That In A Small Town’ Music Video Re-Edited
Entertainment Tonight reported that the music video for “Try That In A Small Town” is now six seconds shorter than it was when it was originally uploaded to YouTube on July 14. The latest version of the music video no longer features news clips from Fox 5 Atlanta that depicted violence from 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.
It is not clear at this time when exactly the edits were made. Check out the new version of the music video below.
CMT Pulls Music Video
This came after Country Music Television (CMT) pulled the “Try That In A Small Town” from its rotation. Though the network refused to comment on why it did this, it seemed obvious that it was because of the backlash over the video that poured in from leftists who outrageously claimed that it was “pro-lynching.”
Aldean was quick to defend his song in the face of this backlash, issuing a statement saying that it was not racist.
“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests,” he said. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous.”
“There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far,” he continued. “‘Try That In A Small Town,’ for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences.”

Aldean Sounds Off
Last Friday night, Aldean stopped a concert in Cincinnati, Ohio to address the backlash that he’d received over the previous days. In his comments, Aldean defiantly refused to back down to the cancel culture mob.
“I’ve seen a lot of stuff suggesting I am this, suggesting I am that,” Aldean said. “Here’s the thing, I feel like everybody is entitled to their opinion you can think something all you want to, it doesn’t mean it is true.”
“What I am, is a proud American. I love our country, I want to see it restored to what it once was before all this bulls**t started happening to us,” he continued. “I love my country, I love my family and I will do anything I can to protect that.”

Full Story: Jason Aldean STOPS CONCERT To SLAM Liberals!
In the days since then, however, it appears that the liberal mob got to Aldean, as the “Try That In A Small Town” has been re-edited in a way that seems meant to appease them.
Unfortunately for Aldean, however, he’s likely about to learn the hard way that nothing is ever enough to appease the cancel culture mob. They’ll never be satisfied with these tiny edits, as the only thing that will fuel their hate-filled hunger is the total cancellation of both Aldean and his anti-woke song.
For a few days there, it really seemed like Aldean would be the entertainer we’ve all been waiting for that would have the guts to stand strong against the leftwing cancel culture mob.
What a shame.
