The conservative country music star John Rich is sounding off after a video resurfaced in which the married millionaire singers Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood demanded that their fans give money to Ukraine.
Brooks And Yearwood’s Ukraine Video

It all started in April of 2022, when Brooks and Yearwood posted a video for “Stand Up for Ukraine,” a digital campaign that aimed to raise money for Ukraine’s war effort against Russia.
“There’s a global initiative and supplies are already spread thin, and this is where you come in. We need your help. We need you to donate,” Yearwood said in the video, with Brooks adding, “We always ask for love and prayers, and please keep doing that, but we’re also going to ask you: dig in your pockets, be part of the greatest global relief plan mankind has ever seen.”
“Everybody deserves dignity, everybody deserves a roof over their head; to feel safe,” Yearwood concluded. “You can be a part of that.”

Rich Fires Back
Though the video was filmed over a year ago, it resurfaced this week and has quickly gone viral on social media, according to Whiskey Riff. On Wednesday, the conservative country music star Rich retweeted the video while also mocking Brooks and Yearwood for demanding fans send their hard-earned money overseas.
“Garth and Trisha really want you to know it’s time for you to be a good person, and hand your money over to Ukraine,” Brooks tweeted. “Ok? Ok.”

Travis Tritt, another country music star who is known for his conservative views, was quick to respond by expressing his disgust at Brooks and Yearwood’s message.
“Total BS!” he wrote. “I’m so sick and tired of hearing about why we should defend Ukraine’s borders above our own.”

Brooks And Rich Disagree On Bud Light
This isn’t the first time that Brooks and Rich have found themselves on opposite sides of a hot-button issue in recent weeks. Last month, Brooks announced that he would continue serving Bud Light at his bar in Nashville despite boycotts over the beer company going woke by teaming up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney on an ad campaign.
“I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make,” Brooks told Billboard. “Our thing is this: If you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”

This was in contrast to Rich, who stopped serving Bud Light at his own bar in Nashville due to not being able to sell it to customers.
“If Garth is serving Bud Light in his bar, that’s fine. Garth can do that. Garth might find out not many people are going to order it,” Rich told Fox News. “And at the end of the day, you have to put things in your establishment that people are going to purchase if you’re going to run a successful business. So, he might find that out.”
“I think he probably sees the pain and division that’s going on in the country and wants to try to help that,” he continued. “If I know Garth at all, and I know him a little, that’s probably the impetus behind a statement like that. So, good for him. I wish him the best.”

It’s clear that after decades of success in the music world, Brooks and his wife Yearwood have sold out and gone completely woke. We applaud Rich for having the courage to call them out on their nonsense, and we’d love to see more patriotic country music stars do the same thing!
