Despite not having the backing of the Hollywood establishment, the independent film Sound Of Freedom continues to beat the odds weeks after being endorsed by the former President Donald Trump, as it has now surpassed the blockbuster Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One at the domestic box office.

Sound Of Freedom Beats Out Blockbusters

CNBC reported that after being filmed for just $14.5 million, Sound Of Freedom has made an astonishing $150 million in the four weeks since its release. In contrast, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, which stars Tom Cruise, has made just $140 million since it came out on July 12.

Sound Of Freedom has also dominated the DC Comics film The Flash, which has only managed to make $100 million in domestic ticket sales. Sound Of Freedom is now quickly catching up to Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which has made $167 million domestically.

It should be noted that each of these other films had the backing of the Hollywood establishment, and the massive promotional campaigns that come with that. Sound Of Freedom did not have these advantages, yet the silent majority in this country has ensured that it’s a hit.

Sound Of Freedom’s Success

“Angel Studios deserves a tremendous amount of credit for designing and executing one of the most unexpected indie box office runs in years,” said Shawn Robbins, chief analyst at BoxOffice.com. Sound of Freedom’s sustained success goes to show that grassroots campaigning still has a sizeable impact in this day and age and that the movie’s core audience remains overlooked and underserved,”

Sound of Freedom is a summer movie success story that wasn’t even on the radar just a few short weeks ago,” added Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Comscore. ”[It] has become one of the most talked about movies of the summer a film [and its] box office revenue has surpassed that of titles with much bigger stars, brands, and budgets.”

Sound of Freedom is based on the true story of the real life government agent Tim Ballard (Jim Caviezel), who quit his job to travel to Colombia to save a little girl who had been sex trafficked. The film exposes the very real issue of child trafficking, something that many argue is frequently swept under the rug in this country.

Trump’s Sound Of Freedom Screening

Last month, the former President Trump was visibly moved by Sound Of Freedom as he hosted a screening of the movie at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“I hope you enjoyed it. It’s something I’m not sure if you’re supposed to enjoy or learn —  it’s a combination. But that was a great movie,” Trump said afterwards. “Now I understand why it’s doing so well.”

Addressing Caviezel, Trump added, “it was an honor getting to know you.”

“I hope everyone had a fantastic time,” the former president concluded. “It’s an incredible inspiration.”

The continued success of Sound Of Freedom shows that Americans have had enough of the woke nonsense that is constantly being promoted by Hollywood these days. If the Hollywood establishment wants to start selling more tickets to their films, they should take notice of Sound Of Freedom, because that’s the type of content that the American people clearly want to see more of.
