Keith Launches Comeback
Keith, 62, posted a video to YouTube in which he revealed that though his cancer battle is still ongoing, he will be returning to performing again in December.
“Hey everybody! This is Toby Keith. It’s been a while. You know what I’ve been doing… been on the old rollercoaster, but Almighty’s riding shotgun. He’s letting me drive for some reason,” he said. “We’re making a big announcement. I’m doing a little deal and thought I’d start in the great Las Vegas.”
Fox News reported that Keith is set to take the stage at the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM to perform two concerts on on December 10 and 11. These will be Keith’s first shows since he revealed his cancer diagnosis to the world back in June of 2022.
“I was going to sit around here and do nothing like I have been, or get up and go outside and don’t let the old man in,” Keith continued, referencing his recent single “Don’t Let the Old Man In,” which you can check out in the video below.

‘We’re Going To Get The Band Back Together’
“It’ll be my first two shows. They’re kind of rehab shows … get the band back in sync, get me rolling again,” Keith explained. “First time in my whole life I’ve been off over two years. I’ve never been off a year in my life.”
Keith went on to say that though “the old devil’s been after me a little bit,” he still wants to return to performing for his fans.
“I’ve got him by the horns right now, so instead of just sitting around and waiting, we’re going to get the band back together,” he concluded.

Keith Leans On His Christian Faith
Last month, Keith credited his strong Christian faith with helping him to get through his cancer battle.
“I lean on my faith and I just pray and lean into it,” Keith said. “You gotta’ do what you gotta’ do, and I don’t know how people do it without faith … that’s what I did, it was my rock.”
Keith also expressed his hopes that he would be able to return to performing very soon.
“I feel pretty good,” he told E! News. “It’s a little bit of a roller coaster. You get good days and, you know, you’re up and down, up and gown. It’s always zero to 60 and 60 to zero but I feel good today.”

Back in June, Keith said that he was “feeling pretty good” after the tumor in his stomach shrank by a third.
“Basically, everything is in a real positive trend… [but] you never know with cancer, so you have to prepare,” he said at the time. “I’ve got more wind. And I’m thinking about bringing the band in and setting up, playing two or three days somewhere, just to see if I can get through two hours.”
Keith has been performing for decades, and it’s clearly something that he loves doing. We’re so glad to see that he does not intend to let his cancer battle stop him from taking the stage to share his incredible talents with the world once again.
God bless you, Toby Keith!
