Former President Donald Trump couldn’t contain his glee in mocking the “catastrophe” that befell Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign launch on Wednesday.
DeSantis joined Elon Musk in announcing his 2024 presidential bid, though it got off to an extremely rocky start when the Twitter “Spaces” platform was hit with some technical difficulties and delayed the start of the event by at least 30 minutes.
“Wow! The DeSanctus TWITTER launch is a DISASTER!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “His whole campaign will be a disaster. WATCH!”
In another he pointed out that Senator Tim Scott’s campaign announcement earlier in the week was far more productive, referring to DeSantis’ opening salvo as a “catastrophe.”
Trump was angrily “truthing” about DeSantis the entire time the governor was speaking to @elonmusk and @DavidSacks. I want to know what his smurf account is because you know he can’t stay away from Twitter. pic.twitter.com/lZw4dG872j

Trump Posts Fake DeSantis’ Twitter Spaces Video And It’s … Something
Say what you will about Trump’s criticism of DeSantis – much of it unwarranted, but that’s politics – he also showed his edgy sense of humor by posting a parody Twitter spaces video featuring the Devil, Dick Cheney, George Soros, and Hitler.
Following the faux DeSantis announcement video, a faux Trump interjects into the proceedings.
“Hold your horses Elon, the real president is going to say a few words,” the Trump voice says. “Devil, I’m going to kick your a** very soon. Hitler you’re already dead, Dick Cheney it sounds like you’ll be joining Hitler very soon.”
In the video, ‘Cheney’ can’t stop coughing.
Trump just posted this video making fun of DeSantis. I have to admit, I couldn’t stop laughing

Trump’s rants at times were also rather confusing. At one juncture he opined about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un becoming his friend again.
“‘Rob,’ My Red Button is bigger, better, stronger, and is working (TRUTH!), yours does not! (per my conversation with Kim Jung Un, of North Korea, soon to become my friend!),” Trump said in the post.
The Spaces launch for DeSantis was a complete mess, and Trump’s retort was lame and uninspired. All y’all need to drastically up your games. You both can do better. pic.twitter.com/CrA2N3mtMy

Elon Musk Fires Back HARD
Was the last post that mentioned “TRUTH” referencing Trump’s Truth Social media platform suggesting his ‘red button’ is actually working a shot DeSantis’ Twitter spaces announcement being plagued by technical difficulties?
If it was, Musk fired back by absolutely taking a blowtorch to Trump’s social media platform.
“The only reason people even know this (about Trump’s rants) is because of screenshots posted on Twitter,” Musk wrote.
He’s right, you know. Truth Social hasn’t grown to Twitter levels. If Trump returned to Twitter his messaging would be amplified a million times over.
The only reason people even know this is because of screenshots posted on Twitter lol

Trump in the past has praised Musk for doing the country “a big service” by releasing the ‘Twitter Files’ which revealed collusion between the FBI, the Biden campaign, and the media to meddle in the 2020 election.
He has called the visionary billionaire a free speech “hero.”
“Yeah, I’d say he’s a hero. I think that it’s a big part of his legacy,” Trump remarked. “I think it’s more important than other things he’s done.”

DeSantis’ shrugged off the campaign rollout glitches suggesting excitement over his candidacy is what made Twitter crash.
“We had a huge audience. It was the biggest they’d ever had. It did break the Twitter Space, and so, we’re really excited with the enthusiasm,” he told Fox News host Trey Gowdy.
