Gadot Speaks Out On Israel
Gadot, 38, took to Instagram to share a post that read, “Israel is under attack and we need your support.”
“Whoever can, and willing to donate, these peoples lives changed forever yesterday,” Gadot wrote in the caption. “They’ve lost so much and need help. Only if you can.”

Daily Mail reported that Gadot, who was Miss Israel back in 2004, later doubled down on this on her Instagram Story.
“Whoever can and wiling to donate, these people’s lives changed forever yesterday,” she stated. “They’ve lost so much and need help. Only if you can. If you have less empathy towards victims because of how you feel about their government, propaganda is working on you.”
“The goal of propaganda is to dehumanize. It works to dehumanize Israelis and works to dehumanize Gazans,” Gadot continued. “I like to think most of us are above propaganda. But this weekend reminded me how widespread it is. Because a lot of people reacted to this violence with justification, not empathy. I guess it’s not surprising but it’s still heartbreaking.”
“Propaganda is everywhere. It seeps into us over time. It seeks to block our empathy receptors. So when we see violence, we rationalize away our human response,” she concluded. “Killing innocent Palestinians is horrific. Killing innocent Israelis is horrific. If you don’t feel the same I think you should ask yourself why that is.”

‘I Stand With Israel’
After these atrocities began, Gadot was one of the first Hollywood stars to publicly support Israel.
“I stand with Israel you should too,” read her initial post about the situation. “The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!”
On Saturday, Gadot shared a screenshot of an article about Israeli soldiers and citizens alike being taken hostage by militants.
“At least 250 Israeli have been murdered and dozens of women children and elders held as hostages in Gaza, by Palestinian military group Hamas,” the article read. “Starting early morning more than 3,000 rockets were fire.”
“Hamas is holding hostages, controlling bases and settlements in Israel,” it added. “There have been more than 1,500 injured and heavy fighting is still ongoing. ‘I hear their voices and they are banging on the door. I am with my two little children. My heart is aching.”

Other Celebrities Defend Israel
Gadot isn’t the only celebrity with ties to Israel who has been speaking out about the atrocities happening there. Natalie Portman, who was born in Jerusalem, also took to social media to express her heartbreak over the situation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“My heart is shattered for the people of Israel,” she wrote. “Children, women and the elderly have been murdered and abducted from their homes. I am in horror at these barbaric acts and my heart is pounding with love and prayer for the families of all affected.”

The longtime Hollywood manager Guy Oseary, who is also from Jerusalem, took to Instagram to share a video showing a young Israeli girl being kidnapped from a music festival.
“This is horrific.. these murders are being celebrated by the government/regime in Iran,” he wrote in the caption. “Many women, children and elderly are being taken from their homes and kidnapped. I have always prayed for peace. ALWAYS. I have always spoken up for my Jewish community and have also spoken up for my Arab brothers and sisters. I have no words today. Only heartbreak. Only tears.”
