Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth is speaking out as sales for Bud Light continue to plummet in the wake of the brand teaming up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for an ad campaign.

CEO Issues Desperate Statement
Whitworth made his comments in a post that he titled “Anheuser-Busch Announces Support For Frontline Employees And Wholesaler Partners.”
“We recognize that over the last two months, the discussion surrounding our company and Bud Light has moved away from beer, and this has impacted our consumers, our business partners, and our employees,” he stated, according to Fox News. “We are a beer company, and beer is for everyone.”
Anheuser-Busch, which is the parent company of Bud Light, has seen its market value plummet by over $35 billon to $99 billion, down from $134.5 billon, since the end of March. Whitworth went on to reveal “three important actions” to move the company forward, including “investing to protect the jobs of our frontline employees” and “providing financial assistance to our independent wholesalers to help them support their employees.”
“Third, to all our valued consumers, we hear you. Our summer advertising launches next week, and you can look forward to Bud Light reinforcing what you’ve always loved about our brand — that it’s easy to drink and easy to enjoy,” he continued. “As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best — brewing great beer and earning our place in moments that matter to you.”
About one month before hiring Alissa Heinerscheid, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said the company has the ability to recruit amazing talent, and he gives them the power and autonomy to "do things differently."

Bud Light No Longer America’s Number 1 Beer
Whitworth noticeably did not apologize for the Mulvaney campaign in this post, so it likely won’t do much to stop the boycott of the brand. Bud Light was humiliated earlier this month when Modelo Especial surpassed it as the number one beer in America.
“Bud Light’s missteps felt like a betrayal to both its liberal and conservative customers, and that trust is going to take months, if not years, to rebuild,” Daniel Korschun, an associate professor of marketing at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, told The New York Times.
The country music star John Rich recently revealed that he’s stopped serving Bud Light at his Nashville bar Redneck Riviera.
“The customers aren’t going to order it,” Rich told Fox News. “I’m not going to stock it. We’ve only got limited area. I’ve got a limited bar. It’s like… I’ve got to put beer and whiskey and vodkas up here that people want to purchase and they want to support… And brother, I can tell you right now, it’s a vicious attitude toward Bud Light.”

Ron DeSantis Weighs In
While serving drinks to veterans at a VFW post in Sparks, Nevada on Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) joked about the controversy, according to Daily Mail.
“Just so you know, I’ll serve you anything except Bud Light. I just can’t do that,” DeSantis said as the veterans laughed.

It’s safe to say that Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch have learned the hard way that when you go woke, you also go broke. Unless Whitworth changes his tune and issues a blatant apology for the Mulvaney campaign, it’s likely that the brand will never be able to recover from this.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
