A new report indicates that New York City will spend over $1 billion – a staggering amount – on hotels to house illegal immigrants over the next three years as President Joe Biden’s border crisis spirals out of control.
The New York Post reveals that the city’s contract with local hotels to take in illegal aliens has blown up to over five times the original price tag at a projected new total of $1.365 billion.
That amount doesn’t even take into account the use of other city facilities or rented sites currently being utilized.
Queens Councilman Robert Holden (D) described the contracts as a “financial boondoggle” for a select few.
“It’s time to halt this fiscal recklessness,” Holden said. “Let’s send those [migrant] buses to the White House and remember that ‘Right to Shelter’ shouldn’t be misconstrued as a global entitlement.”
We’ve gone from “Republicans are kidnapping and trafficking illegals” to “let’s send these people packing elsewhere” in a hurry in the one-time sanctuary of New York City.

Over $1 Billion For New York City Hotels To House Illegal Immigrants
If recent history is any indicator, the illegal immigrants infiltrating New York City won’t be staying in any ol’ rickety hotels either.
Mayor Eric Adams, who once declared that New York would remain a sanctuary city under his administration, initially housed the illegals in free luxury New York City hotel rooms or “mega-shelters.”
Some of those hotels or shelters were replete with television sets, Xbox gaming consoles, and “culturally appropriate” meals.
Hold up,
Eric Adams’ tricked-out migrant tent cities provide Xbox for those who are sent there?

Not a bad gig if you can get it.
Adams would later suggest that city residents start housing the illegal immigrants in “private residences” because they have “spare rooms.”

That must not have worked out very well, hence the insane hotel price tag.
Adams estimates that beyond the shelter costs, the Biden immigration crisis will cost New York City $12 billion over the next three years.
JUST IN: New York City is gearing up to pay over $1,000,000,000 on just hotels over the next 3 years to house illegal immigrants.
Good! That’s what happens when you call yourself a “Sanctuary City.”

Adams: Illegal Immigrants Will Destroy New York
Mayor Adams has insisted that the surge of illegal immigrants in New York is going to “destroy” the city.
“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this,” fretted Adams.
“I don’t see an ending to this,” he repeated. “This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City.”

Adams was speaking from an economic vantage point. Having to spend $12 billion in the next three years likely won’t help the New York City economy either.
X CEO Elon Musk responded to a video of fed-up protesters blocking a bus of illegal immigrants on Staten Island simply with, “Wow.”
Musk later shared the video and wrote, “This is a severe crisis.”
An understatement by any measure.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, like Adams, has also proven to be a weapons-grade hypocrite, telling illegal immigrants to go somewhere else and calling in the National Guard to deal with the invasion.
Former President Donald Trump vowed to stop the illegal immigration crisis by invoking the Alien Enemies Act if elected, a wartime law that would allow the Commander in Chief to authorize the arrest and deportation of illegal aliens over the age of 14.
