The former President Donald Trump continues to dominate the rest of the Republican field for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination and would defeat Joe Biden in a rematch of 2020, according to a new Harvard-Harris poll.
If the GOP primary were held today, according to the latest data, Trump would garner 52% of support from Republican voters. His next closest challenger is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) at a paltry 12%.
Creeping up on DeSantis is biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who comes in at 10%, effectively keeping in line with another recent survey showing the two tied.
Rounding out the top five are former Vice President Mike Pence with 7% and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley at 4%.
We regret to inform you that, despite constantly hyping of Chris Christie as the answer to challenge Trump directly by the mainstream media, the former New Jersey Governor earned a mere 2%.

Trump Has A Solid 5% Lead Over Biden In Latest Poll
The Harvard-Harris poll may provide a glimpse behind the scenes of why the Biden administration and several Democrat prosecutors are pushing so hard to jail the President’s top political rival – a statement that pains me to type in the once-free nation of America.
Despite all of the negative media coverage 24/7 and despite the proven and successful efforts to sway an election through social media interference, Trump is leading President Biden.
According to this poll, Trump would beat Biden in the general election by a solid 5 points – 45% to 40%.

Before the balloons and streamers begin to fall, it should be noted that there is a critical and sizable amount of voters who claim to be undecided according to this poll – 16%.
Still, while a 5-point lead is not ironclad, it still has to be alarming for Biden’s campaign team.
Should Biden choose not to run and be replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris, his lead becomes even greater. Trump would defeat Harris by a score of 47% to 38%.
Coincidentally, 38 also matches the number of brain cells in Harris’ head when you see videos like this:

In a head-to-head matchup, DeSantis also beats President Biden but by a much smaller margin (41% to 40%).
More Bad News For Biden
As per usual, the Harvard-Harris poll delivers a plethora of bad news for President Biden. Just 29% of voters feel the country is on the right track while 61% believe it to be on the wrong track.
Among that group, Independent voters at just a 19% clip view the country as being on the right track.
As to the question of mental fitness for serving in the White House for another four years? The news is even more grim.
A whopping 59% of Americans have doubts about President Biden’s mental capabilities, while 68% say that he is “showing he is too old.” Just 32% believe he is demonstrating a fitness for duty.
Highlights: Harvard CAPS, Harris poll
1. “Wrong Direction” in the tank at -61%. Horrible since Biden took office.
2. Perception of Economy -62%. “It’s the economy stupid!”
3. Since Nov. 2021, “My personal finan. situation” -40% or more. Now at -47%
4. Trump -4 approv. Biden -14 pic.twitter.com/2vjRsBRye7— Jim Pfaff (@jimpfaff) July 23, 2023
This poll comes as moderate Republicans have insisted Trump can’t beat Biden in a general election.
Christie was asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl: “Can Trump beat Biden?”
“I don’t think so,” he replied.
Former House Speaker Paul Ryan continued his long-held practice of failure, actually predicting somebody other than Trump would win the nomination “because we know we’re going to lose with him.”

Despite the plethora of good news for Trump in this Harvard-Harris poll, there is widespread dissatisfaction with the candidates – 70% of voters believe the country “needs another choice.”
Only time will tell how this all plays out.
