Tucker Carlson broke his silence in public for the first time since he was fired by Fox News.
Carlson released a blistering video commentary Wednesday evening, slamming “liars” trying to silence people by “force,” and hinting there are still “some” places Americans can go to speak the truth.
Will one of those places be where Tucker ends up in his next career move?
The video, posted to Twitter, starts off with Carlson acknowledging the “kind and decent people” that have reached out to him since Fox News fired him on Monday.
He conveyed that the short time off gave him a moment to observe the “unbelievably stupid” debates taking place on television today.
“At the same time, and this is the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics – the ones which will define our future – get virtually no discussion at all,” lamented Carlson.
“War. Civil liberties. Emerging science. Demographic change. Corporate power. Natural resources.”
“When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?” he asked.
Why, on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” of course, and nowhere else.

Tucker Carlson Video Slams ‘Liars’ After Being Fired
While Tucker Carlson doesn’t directly address being fired by Fox News, he does make some cryptic references to “political parties” shutting down conversation while “liars” are out there trying to silence opposing viewpoints by “force.”
“Political parties, and their donors, have reached consensus on what benefits them – and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it,” he alleged.
“Suddenly the United States looks very much like a one-party state,” added Carlson. “That’s a depressing realization.”
Boom Tucker going to the heart of it.. it’s a UniParty. People have woken up to this so the jig is up.
The censorship & heavy handedness is a sign of their weakness not strength. The more they slam their iron fist of tyranny… more people wake up & realize the truth.

But, there is a glimmer of hope Carlson contends.
“It’s not permanent. Our current orthodoxies won’t last. They’re braindead,” he said. “No one actually believes them.”
“The people in charge know this, and it’s why they are hysterical and aggressive – they’re afraid. They’ve given up persuasion: they are resorting to force.”
Great message @TuckerCarlson — there are some reporters who gave up everything to say true things many years ago. Looking forward to see where you land. https://t.co/Gc5bxr75mD

Tucker then suggested honest people would prevail in the end and foreshadowed what the future might hold.
“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful,” he said. “At the same time, the liars who have been trying to silence them shrink, and they become weaker.”
“That’s the iron law of the universe: true things prevail.”
“Where can you still find Americans saying true things?” Carlson asked. “There aren’t many places left, but there are some.”
Tucker’s not going away! Fox soon will.

What’s Next For Tucker?
While his future is still up in the air, Tucker Carlson’s short video seems to have been a direct shot at Fox News.
The video was released on Twitter at 8:01, almost exactly the same start time as his former “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show.
It seems like a direct shot at those filling in for him at the network. And the video monologue, timing at just over two minutes, earned a whopping 35.8 million views on Twitter as of early this morning.
By contrast, the 8 p.m. slot with a fill-in host on Fox News earned just 1.7 million viewers.
Two Tuesdays ago, Tucker had 3.2 million viewers.
Kilmeade last night had 1.7 million.
Fox also trailed CNN and MSNBC in the 25-54 demo, which Tucker always dominated.https://t.co/aDwkxcdaDT

Maybe that’s the place where Americans can still say “true things.” Maybe we’ll get video commentary every night on Elon Musk’s Twitter.
We certainly know that truth can’t be spoken on any of the major news networks. Fox used to allow it to a degree, but I’m not so sure that’s still the case.
Meanwhile, Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter writes that there’s no need to feel bad for Tucker.

“Tucker Carlson is neither down nor out; he is going to come back bigger and badder than ever,” he writes.
He “will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”
We’re looking forward to it.
