Shocking New Poll Shows Large Percentages of Democrats Want to Censor Speech, Believe Americans Have ‘Too Much Freedom’

An absolutely shocking new poll demonstrates clearly just how deeply Democrats have fallen for the allure of fascism, with large percentages seeking to stifle free speech and suggesting Americans currently have “too much freedom.”

Much of the poll was summarized in an X posting by RealClearPolitics President Tom Bevan, and most of those numbers were referred to by Bevan as “stunning.”

For instance, while a vast majority of Republicans and Independents believe free speech should be legal “under any circumstances,” Democrats were almost evenly split, with a whopping 47% saying that it should be legal “only under certain circumstances.”

Other questions yielded similarly dismaying numbers, with significant percentages of Democrats (34%) saying that Americans have “too much freedom.”

And a majority – majority! – approve of the government censoring social media content so long as they can use the excuse that it falls under national security concerns.

Democrats Love To Censor

It simply can not be overstated how significant this study’s findings are in regard to where Democrats stand on censorship. It could be argued that the resistance party is trying to dismantle the very foundations of free speech.

Don’t believe me?

Respondents to the poll were asked if they agreed with the phrase: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Only 31% of Democratic voters “strongly agreed” with that opinion.

This isn’t just a hypothetical scenario either. You all saw Democrats in action over the last few years.

They forced social media to censor relevant stories – stories that affected the election about Joe and Hunter Biden’s corruption – outlined extensively through emails and evidence found on the former’s laptop, under the guise of national security. (‘Russian disinformation!’ they shouted).

They forced extensive censorship of those who posted and wrote the truth about the pandemic and the ineffectiveness of COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccines.

So you don’t think that in a heartbeat they would shut down any form of speech they disapprove of? Not only do Democrats disapprove of what you say, but they’ll assuredly fight to the death to make sure you can’t say it.

Trump Vows To Save Free Speech

The latest poll showing Democrats favor censoring Americans comes as the Biden campaign has indicated they have little intention of letting up.

Last week, the President’s re-election campaign announced the creation of a group designed to combat “misinformation” which, as you know, is simply information that reflects poorly on their man.

“Social media platforms have a critical responsibility to take account of how their platforms affect the American people, but make independent choices about how they enforce their standards,” said the new group’s leader, Rob Flaherty.

“The campaign is going to have to be more aggressive pushing back on misinformation from a communications perspective and filling some of the gaps these companies are leaving behind,” he added.

If you’re an American who prides yourself on having your eyes open to the fact that we are living under a fascist administration, then that statement will send chills down your spine.

More aggressive censorship is on the menu for the next four years? Hard pass.

In one of his first campaign videos for 2024, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump announced a free speech policy platform that seeks to “dismantle and destroy” left-wing censorship.

“If we don’t have free speech, then we just don’t have a free country,” he said. “It’s as simple as that.”

Most people are appalled by the idea of a less free America. Democrats view it as a campaign promise and a policy goal.
