Things went off the rails on the ABC talk show “The View” once again on Monday morning as Whoopi Goldberg got into a heated argument with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) about abortion. Goldberg has long been adamantly pro-choice, as shown in the clip below.

‘The View’ Derails Again
Entertainment Weekly reported that Mace has been open about being a survivor of rape from an incident that occurred when she was only 16 years-old, and this experience has impacted how she views the issue of abortion.
“We cannot demonize women,” Mace said. “We have to find a balance to show that we’re pro-life, but we are about women… What I have found is that neither side wants to find the middle ground. The left doesn’t want to tell you what their limits are, the right is ‘zero and no exceptions.’ That’s not where the vast majority of Americans are.”
Goldberg chimed in to ask Mace if she wants the government telling people how to raise their families.
“I don’t want the government…” Mace began, before being interrupted by Goldberg.
“Because the law says you don’t – no law says you have to have an abortion. No law – there’s no law on the books that says you have to have an abortion,” Goldberg said. “Isn’t that my choice if my doctor and I feel that’s the best way for me – because if I’m a nice Jewish girl or if I’m a girl who has a different religious belief, why am I being held to someone else’s religious beliefs?”
Mace fired back by saying that “at some point” the baby deserves the “right to life.”
“You don’t want the government in the room with the doctor and the woman, but those who want the government to pay for it has the government in the room with the doctor and the woman, so you can’t have it both ways,” Mace continued.

“But would you support the move into vacancy?” asked Ana Navarro.
“I haven’t decided yet what I’m going to do. You know, we’ll see,” Mace responded. pic.twitter.com/xwcp8fkqBZ

Goldberg Comes Unglued
This only seemed to make Goldberg even more agitated.
“Isn’t that your choice to make that decision?” she questioned. “Why do you want me to go with your belief when that is not my belief? That’s the part I’m trying to understand.”
Mace replied by claiming that some states like New York and California are so relaxed about abortion that women can have an abortion up until nine months.
“No one, no one, no doctor, no hospital, no one will take a baby at nine months for an abortion. I’m telling you,” Goldberg exclaimed.

Mace Refuses To Back Down
Mace, however, was not having any of it. She pointed out that Democrats like President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have refused to say what limits on abortion they support.
“What about the men who are rapists?” Mace asked, alleging that some blue states have “more rights for rapists than a woman who’s been raped.”
As happens often on “The View,” the segment eventually devolved into Goldberg and Mace trying to speak over one another.
“If what happened to you happened to my daughter, why isn’t it my choice, if she’s 12 and gets pregnant? Again, but why is it not my choice? This is the part I’m missing,” Goldberg said.
“I understand your choice, I also am pro-life; I want everybody to have a safe life, I want them to be safe and do all the things that they would be able to do, but when it comes to what’s best for my family and I, why isn’t it my choice and my doctor’s choice without bringing anyone else in?” she concluded.
The show then cut to commercial. Check out the segment for yourself below.
Goldberg may have gotten the last word since this is her talk show, but it’s hard to deny that it was Mace who came out on top in this exchange. In the end, all Goldberg accomplished here was once again showing that she can be counted on to have an unhinged meltdown at the drop of a hat.
It remains to be seen how much longer ABC executives will decide it’s worth keeping her around.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
