Joe Biden’s relationship with words is a lot like his relationship with gravity – it’s in free fall.
This man seems to have been in office since the dawn of time, and while he probably has more recorded gaffes than any other politician in human existence, it doesn’t help that he has an endless supply of awkwardness to assist with that.
Today our team has collected just a small number of his more recent less-than-stellar moments from the last few years.

Let the Cringe Begin
The Awkward “Where’s Jackie?” Moment
One of the most notable verbal blunders in President Biden’s long history of gaffes occurred during a White House conference when he mistakenly sought out Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski, who had tragically passed away eight weeks prior.
From the podium, Biden inquired, “Representative Jackie — are you here? Where’s Jackie?” as he scanned the room in vain. He then added, “I think she was going to be here,” displaying his confusion.
It is worth mentioning that Biden had previously released a heartfelt statement mourning Walorski’s untimely death in a horrific car crash.
The president’s evident mental lapse sparked a revolt among reporters during the subsequent press briefing. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to attribute Biden’s confusion to him having the late congresswoman “top of mind,” but she failed to provide an explanation for why he believed she was still alive.
Speaking to The Post, Walorski’s brother, Keith Walorski, expressed his understanding, saying, “Bless his heart for trying. He’s forgetful. It’s clear that his mind isn’t as sharp as it once was, considering the things he has done and said.”
It’s Cancer, Wait it’s Not Cancer
During a speech focused on climate change in July of 2022, President Biden made a surprising revelation about his health.
Recalling his childhood experiences in Delaware, Biden remarked, “You had to put on your windshield wipers to get, literally, the oil slick off the window,” referring to the pollution caused by nearby refineries. He went on to declare, “That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer.”
In response, White House spokesman Andrew Bates attempted to downplay the comment by referring to “non-melanoma skin cancers” that Biden had previously been treated for. However, Bates was unable to provide an explanation as to why the president used the present tense when discussing his current cancer condition. Additionally, it raised questions as to why Biden had previously utilized the anecdote of the oily windshield to claim that he had asthma.
Selfish Servicemen
During Biden’s eventful trip to the Middle East in 2022, an unintended verbal stumble caused unease among his Cabinet members.
Addressing the Gulf Cooperation Council in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the president made a statement that inadvertently misrepresented the situation. He stated, “For the first time since 9/11, an American president is visiting this region without American troops being engaged… in a combat mission in the region.”
As he continued his speech, Biden promptly corrected himself, saying, “We’ll always honor the bravery and selflessness – selflessness,” realizing his slip-up. He further acknowledged the sacrifices of American servicemen and women, including his late son, Major Beau Biden, who had been stationed in Iraq for a year.
During this moment, Secretary of State Antony Blinken visibly reacted, displaying discomfort and shifting uneasily in his seat, as the president’s unintended remarks inadvertently cast a negative light on the US military.
Yells at a Parkland Victim’s Father
Biden’s performance at a White House event commemorating a new gun-control law was marked by a series of notable gaffes.
To begin, the president engaged in a heated exchange with a grieving father who had tragically lost his 17-year-old son in the devastating Parkland school shooting on February 14, 2018. In an unfortunate moment, Biden snapped at Manuel Oliver, instructing him to “sit down” and listen to what he had to say, while the bereaved father expressed his frustration and anger over the perceived lack of action to address gun violence.
Furthermore, just moments later, Biden made a historical misstep as he described the tragic incident that claimed the lives of Oliver’s child and others. In a bewildering mix-up, the president mistakenly referred to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting as occurring in 1918, claiming there were 17 fatalities and injuries. Unbeknownst to Biden, his statement reflected a significant historical inaccuracy.
Calls Fox News Reporter Peter Doocy a SOB
During a presidential meeting addressing the concerning state of the economy and the surging consumer prices reaching unprecedented levels, a hot microphone captured President Biden uttering profanity-laced remarks.
As reporters were ushered out of the White House East Room, Peter Doocy from Fox News posed a question, inquiring about the potential political implications of inflation. In response, the president, with a smirk on his face for the cameras, disparagingly retorted, “No, it’s a great asset — more inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch.”
While the White House omitted the offensive comment from its official video feed, it remained clearly audible on C-SPAN’s video stream, making the unfiltered remark public knowledge.
